Robert E. Smith is a nationally known folk and "outsider" artist. His paintings have been featured at New York City's prestigious Museum of American Folk Art and sold at distinguished galleries coast-to-coast. He has also been featured in The Museum of American Folk Art Encyclopedia of Twentieth Century American Folk Art. My cousin, Robert Eugene Smith, (Bob) will lead a workshop in our San Diego studio. He will start with a talk about his life and then inspire participants to create their own art work. All of Robert's paintings and books have a story to tell and sometime paintings are accomanied by a song. If we are lucky Bob may sing us a song. The workshop will feature a variety of techniques and those attending are welcome to bring in any materials with which they wish to work. The workshop is open to the public and pre-registration is required.
